The five Ps

A simple frame to keep your reading alive, from Better Than Gold by Pastor Kevin Miller:

  • Plan — you won’t have time; you have to make it. A set place, a set plan.
  • Pages — paper keeps you focused in a way a glowing screen rarely does.
  • Pen — underline, circle, note. A moving pen keeps the heart engaged.
  • Prayer — before you open it, ask God to speak through it; keep the conversation going as you read.
  • Pause — this isn’t a to-do list item to speed-run. Every word is there on purpose.

“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

— Hebrews 4:16, Berean Standard Bible
